Common questions

Who can see our school's knowledge base content?
Only your institution's designated admin and Vivat's deployment team (Standard tier). In Self-hosted and Enterprise tiers, only your own staff can access it.
Do students need to create accounts or share personal data?
No. Students message via WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage using their existing accounts. Vivat does not collect names, emails, or any identifiable information.
Where are servers located?
Standard tier runs on Railway.app (US West). Self-hosted institutions choose their own server location — AU-based hosting is available.
What happens to our data if we stop using Vivat?
Your knowledge base content is deleted within 30 days of cancellation. We provide a copy of your content in plain text format on request.
Which AI provider powers Vivat?
Vivat uses Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic processes messages transiently to generate responses and does not train models on API data. See Anthropic's privacy policy for full details.
